Teaching and Research Features
AR/VR Learning System
AR-Assisted Pollination
- Our team has developed multiple AR/VR learning systems, including the VR Heat and Temperature Learning System, AR+VR Cell Division Learning System, AR+VR Genetics Learning System, AR+VR Electricity Learning System, and the AR Lens Imaging Learning System. These systems leverage the unique advantages of AR and VR technologies to help students understand abstract and complex scientific concepts, while also addressing and clarifying common misconceptions.
Coding STEM Course
Automatic Watering Device
A series of Coding STEM courses have been developed using block-based programming with Micro:bit or Arduino. Students engage in hands-on assembly and creation of functional devices such as an automatic watering system, alcohol sprayer, bird repeller, paper piano, smart feeder, pulse oximeter, and automatic sensor-based trash bin. These Coding STEM courses aim to cultivate students’ creativity, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills, while also fostering interest in pursuing STEM degrees and careers in the future.
Bilingual Digital Course
VR Digestive System
Following the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) instructional model, our research team has developed junior high school bilingual digital courses using emerging AR and VR technologies. These include the AR Photosynthesis Learning System, VR Digestive System, and VR Human Circulatory System. Each system features bilingual e-books, interactive quizzes, and AR or VR-based experimental simulations. These bilingual digital biology materials address the shortage of bilingual teaching resources, providing practical support for teachers while enhancing students’ subject knowledge and English communication skills.
